China to Audit All Government Construction Projects, Xinhua Says
Post Date: 2010-02-22

China plans to audit all government-related construction projects as part of new regulations that will take effect May 1, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.

Construction projects that derive more than 50 percent of investment from the government or are controlled by the government must be audited, Xinhua reported late yesterday, citing regulations issued by the State Council. The regulations also allow auditors to track and supervise government funds used by companies and for projects not owned by the government, according to the report.
