Sany launches 1,000t AT

Sany has unveiled what it claims is China’s first 1,000t all terrain crane.

The SAC303 has a 100m telescopic boom, and can lift 100t at 80m. It is installed on a nine-axle carrier, and is equipped with two winches, a slewing table and four outriggers. Its total weight is 108t.

The SAC303 was presented to a select audience at Sany’s facility in Changsha, Hunan, China. Sany has spent two years researching and developing the SAC303, and has 21 patents in place for the crane. This has resulted in a machine that can install, assemble and dismantle itself without a support crane, Sany said, notably the boom.

Sany added that the development of the 1,000t capacity SAC303 signals an opportunity for Chinese equipment manufacturers to, ‘obtain strong [competitive] advantages in the world engineering machinery field’, and, ‘establish [a] fine environment or pursuing [a] world fist-class brand’.
