Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Casting Center has achieved rejection rate of 1.46% in July, reducing by 14% month-month, and 30% year-on-year, which is the best level ever since. The rejection rate keeps the lead in the industry.

Early this year, Yuchai Machinery made adjustment on the casting center, improved the management on quality and technology. The casting center made great innovation to promote lean manufacturing, conducted skills contest activity, which improved the technology level and staff capability. 

About Yuchai Casting Center

Yuchai Casting Center was established on July 16, 2008. Covering  an area of 1,800 Mu, the center has the annual production capacity of 290,000  diesel engine cylinder blocks, cylinder heads and other castings with high strength, thin wall, excellent  uality and high level, and the varieties of the products will cover 0.8 -12 L mini-, light, medium and heavy diesel engines. By that time it will be the largest-scale production base of diesel engine castings in Asia.
Yuchai Casting Center is a great upgrade of Yuchai casting technology. As the internationally-famous branded equipment are imported to be employed in the key technical procedures and the domestic firstclass equipment are adopted in the auxiliary technical procedures, the foundry production lines are constructed to be high efficient, stable, reliable and eco-friendly at high quality and low cost. The center was planned one time and will be constructed in two phases. At the first phase, RMB 960 million yuan will be invested, including the construction of three casting production lines. The first casting line is predicted to put into trial production by December 2009, the second one by December 2010 and the third one by December 2012. When the first phase project is completed and all the lines are put into production, the supply of castings in Yuchai will meet the demand of markets annually increasing 15% - 30%.
