Atlas Copco added a line of bucket crushers to its silent demolition tool range of hydraulic attachments. Rig-mounted bucket crushers solve jobsite waste management issues by recycling asphalt, stone and concrete debris as well as mine, quarry and trench material. The recycled material may be reused on site or sold to third parties.
In addition to the environmental benefits of recycling, Atlas Copco BC-model hydraulic bucket crushers reduce the overall cost of a job by reducing the amount of equipment needed on site and saving on expenses.
The four Atlas Copco bucket crushers were engineered with a wide aperture bucket and large capacity. The output size easily adjusts from 0.5 to 4.75 inches or from 0.5 to 4 inches in the BC 1500. The bucket jaws, which receive the most wear, can be inverted. The top and bottom jaws can be replaced or single jaws can be rotated by 180 degrees to provide for more even wear and longer service life. With two grease points, they require a relatively low level of maintenance; Atlas Copco specifies a 30-hour greasing interval.
“Like all our hydraulic attachments, the new bucket crushers are designed to deliver our customers a lower total cost of ownership,” said Keith Becker, product development specialist for Atlas Copco hydraulic attachments. “The total cost of ownership is the sum of all costs generated by a piece of equipment throughout its lifetime, where the upfront investment only represents a minor portion of the total cost.”
The models range in weight from 3,307 to 10,803 pounds and may be used on carrier classes from 26,455 to 132,277 pounds. (Source: siteprepmag.com)
