Deepening China-Africa Industrial Chain Cooperation, Jointly Drawing a Blueprint for Green Development
From May 14 to 18, 2025, the 3rd SANY African Business Unit Premium Customer Summit was held in grand style. 182 customer representatives from 36 countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, Angola, and Tanzania, gathered in China for a five-day program involving intelligent manufacturing site visits and strategic cooperation dialogues.
Under the theme “Trust · Cooperation · Win-Win,” the summit featured full-industry-chain displays, technical forums, and cultural exchanges, fully demonstrating SANY’s innovation capabilities in both construction machinery and new energy sectors. The summit served as a powerful driver for deepening China-Africa industrial collaboration.
Intelligent Manufacturing Sparks Cooperation Momentum
The summit’s first stop focused on the SANY Heavy Machinery Kunshan Industrial Park and its achievements in intelligent upgrades. The African client delegation visited the SANY Global R&D Center, Mini Excavator Lighthouse Factory, and Digital Workshops, observing intelligent production operations in real-time.
Mr. Chen Jiayuan, Chairman of SANY Heavy Machinery Division, noted:
“Since becoming the global sales leader in excavators in 2020, we’ve continuously deepened our R&D tailored for the African market. In the future, we will support Africa’s infrastructure and mining modernization through intelligent equipment upgrades, optimized parts supply systems, and the development of localized service networks.”
At the Construction Machinery Exhibition Zone, a comprehensive lineup of intelligent equipment for mining, road construction, and other fields attracted keen interest from international customers. Attendees frequently stopped to observe and capture technical highlights on film.
New Energy Developments Catch the Eye of African Clients
From May 17 to 18, the delegation visited the SANY Intelligent Heavy Truck Industrial Park, Silicon Energy Zhuzhou Industrial Park, and the No. 18 Lighthouse Factory.
Dr. Chen Jia, Deputy General Manager of SANY Silicon Energy Technology Co., Ltd., presented a detailed introduction to the “Source-Grid-Load-Storage” Microgrid System solution, and shared flagship project experiences such as the 20MW photovoltaic power plant in Zambia.
A physical demonstration of an off-grid solar-storage system provided clear and practical evidence of how SANY’s new energy technologies can deliver value in regions with weak power infrastructure. The integrated solution designed for Africa’s green mining needs — combining mining, photovoltaics, energy storage, and electrification — was met with enthusiastic responses from mining representatives from DR Congo, Guinea, and other countries.
At the No. 18 Lighthouse Factory, Mr. Jiang Qingbin, Chairman of the SANY Pump and Road Machinery Division, introduced the design and operational excellence of this global benchmark facility in the construction machinery industry. After the visit, the entire delegation gathered in front of the World Flags for a commemorative group photo — their joyful expressions representing the close bond between SANY and its African partners, and their shared vision for the future of the industry.
SANY’s Vision: A Blueprint for Long-Term Cooperation
In the afternoon session on May 18, Mr. Guo Ruiguang, Chairman of the SANY African BU, emphasized: “After 23 years of deep cultivation in Africa, SANY has delivered over 28,000 units of equipment to the continent. We've built 16 parts centers, established more than 40 local offices, and deployed over 400 service engineers to provide timely and efficient service coverage across Africa.”
He further stated that in the future, SANY will continue expanding its investments in localization, accelerate the digitization of operations, and deepen collaboration across sectors such as construction machinery, heavy trucks, photovoltaics, and energy storage, together with African partners.
Customer Voices: Strong Affirmation of Cooperation
During the summit, representatives from Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, and other countries expressed strong recognition of SANY’s brand strength, product quality, and local service network. They looked forward to deeper cooperation in areas such as equipment procurement, joint ventures, and technical training.
One South African client stated:
“SANY is not only a reliable supplier, but also a long-term partner committed to growing with Africa.”
Another Zambian mining company representative commented:
“We are very interested in SANY’s green mining solutions. We look forward to working together to build a sustainable African mining industry.”
Outlook: Building a Shared Future for China-Africa Industry
This summit not only strengthened mutual trust between SANY and African customers but also laid a solid foundation for the next phase of cooperation.
As a leading player in China’s equipment manufacturing sector, SANY will remain committed to innovation and openness, and work hand-in-hand with African partners to build a green, intelligent, and sustainable future.
