Recently, the domestic waste incineration power generation project in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, officially broke ground. As the core equipment supplier and constructor of the pile foundation project of the project, TYSIM Piling Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “TYSIM”), through its wholly-owned subsidiary TYSIM RENTAL Co., Ltd. and VOSTOSUN Co., Ltd., an Uzbek branch-AVP Company, invested in a number of Caterpillar chassis rotary drilling rigs developed by TYSIM to participate in the construction, marking an important step in the cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of green energy and infrastructure.
Project Background: The rise of a green energy hub in Central Asia
The Samarkand waste power generation project is a key project of the Uzbek government to promote the transformation of the energy structure and achieve sustainable development. According to the Ukrainian plan, the project will treat 1,500 tons of domestic waste per day after completion, with an annual power generation capacity of 240 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the electricity needs of 50,000 local households, while significantly alleviating the pressure on urban waste disposal. As an iconic project under the framework of the ”Belt and Road" initiative, it is not only a model of Sino-Ukrainian capacity cooperation, but will also provide a technological demonstration for the development of renewable energy in Central Asia.
TYSIM deeply participated in the construction of the project through AVP Company. AVP Company was established in 2019 and is headquartered in Tashkent. It is the core carrier of TYSIM's layout in the Central Asian market.Relying on the technical accumulation of the parent company in the field of piling machinery, AVP has integrated equipment and service resources of international brands such as Caterpillar, and established cooperation with financial institutions such as China Credit Insurance and China Development Bank to form a full-chain service capability of “equipment supply + engineering construction + financial support”.At present, AVP has set up branches in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and gradually built a service network covering Central Asia.
Technical Highlights: Efficient empowerment of Caterpillar chassis rotary drilling rigs
In the pile foundation construction process, TYSIM uses Caterpillar chassis rotary drilling rigs as the main equipment. Taking the TYSIM KR360C participating in the construction as an example, it is equipped with Caterpillar 259kw/C-9.3B original engine and integrates an intelligent fully electronic control system, which can achieve a maximum torque output of 360kN・m, and can easily cope with complex geological conditions such as clay layers, gravel layers, and hard rock formations common in Central Asia. The load sensing technology and automated control system used in the equipment can accurately control the verticality and depth of drilling to ensure the quality of pile foundation construction. Meet international standards. At the same time, as Caterpillar's ten-year strategic partner, TYSIM's independently developed Caterpillar chassis series rotary drilling rig products have been included in Caterpillar's global agent product sales and service system (www.catdealer.com ), marking that TYSIM's card bottom products have been fully connected to Caterpillar's global agent network, realizing the seamless connection between sales and after-sales service, and further consolidating its internationalization strategic layout.
Future Outlook: Deepen cooperation in Central Asia and build a new picture of the "Belt and Road"
With the advancement of the Samarkand project, TYSIM plans to further expand its service network in Central Asia.According to the plan, AVP will complete the establishment of a marketing service center and the construction of an accessories center in addition to Tashkent by the end of 2026.“We hope that through the Samarkand Region project, we will set a benchmark for China-Ukraine infrastructure cooperation.“Mr. Simon, chairman of TYSIM, said, "In the future, we will continue to be driven by technological innovation, integrate resources along the ‘Belt and Road’, and contribute Chinese wisdom to building a green and efficient regional infrastructure network."”
Samarkand, a historical city on the ancient Silk Road, is now witnessing the green revolution of the new period. The Caterpillar chassis rotary drilling rig developed by TYSIM not only drilled hard formations, but also opened up a new space for cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of environmental protection. As the 2026 Uzbekistan International Mining and Construction Machinery Exhibition approaches, more high-end piling equipment made in China will continue to flood into this “landlocked country” in the hinterland of Central Asia, providing more green solutions for the “Belt and Road” countries.
